Tokyo which was going to host the Summer Olympics, the biggest sports tournament in the world which is played between hundreds of countries has been postponed by IOC (International Olympic Committee) and Japan.

Reason behind Postponing the Olympics

We were all waiting eagerly for the Olympics and why not, they are held after every 4 years.

So, what's the reason behind postponing the olympics? The reason is, CORONAVIRUS! 

As COVID-19 commonly known as, coronavirus is spreading like forest fire. And assembling at once place with billions of people around would be like giving a chance to coronavirus to spread even faster.

When is it Rescheduled 

This is the fourth time in history when the Olympic games are being postponed. As-

• First time - 1916 - World war 1 
• Second time - 1940 - World war 2
• Third time - 1944 - World war 2

Now the 2020 Olympic games are rescheduled to 2021.
