Lockdown 4 guidelines

Prime Minister Modi had already said in his speech to increase the lockdown. The government has issued guidelines for the next lockdown before Lockdown 3.0 was to end tomorrow. PM Modi had said that the exemption will be extended in the next lockdown. There are many types of changes in the new guidelines.The lockdown has been extended till 31 May in view of the rising infection of the corona virus in the country. Most of the rights in Lockdown-4 have been given to the states. The central government will issue separate detailed guidelines on topics falling in the central list. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) issued an order in this regard. In this, various Ministries and Departments of the Central Government and the State Governments have been asked to take measures to avoid infection of Kovid-19. The lockdown is in force in the country from 25 March. NDMA has not released any new guidelines. It says that the National Executive Committee (NEC) has issued orders and clarifications from time to time under Section 10 (2) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, regarding the lockdown in the country.

Important changes will be made in the guidelines

The NDMA stated in its order that the lockdown measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 will continue until May 31. To open economic activities, NEC will make necessary changes in the guidelines to prevent the spread of Covid-19 as well as further economic activities.This is the third time the lockdown has been extended. Even before this, the lockdown in the country was extended twice and the lockdown-3 was ending today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address to the country had indicated to increase the lockdown. However he said that it will be some new look. In such a situation, everyone's eyes were on how this new look would be? What kind of relief will be given in this?

Many states had already increased lockdown

The way the cases of corona infection are continuously increasing in the country, the increase of lockdown was considered to be inevitable. Many states had also made preparations for this. Punjab, Telangana, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu had already announced to extend the lockdown by 31 May. The total number of corona infects in the country has crossed 90 thousand, of which more than 2800 people have died.The Central government had sought suggestions from states about increasing the lockdown. On Friday, Home Minister Amit Shah held a marathon meeting with officials of his ministry. After considering the suggestions received from all the states, the guidelines for Lockdown-4 were prepared. Most states have suggested increasing the lockdown by the end of this month. Lockdown was increased twice before also.

The first phase of the lockdown was from 25 March to 14 April. There was lockdown-2 from 15 April to 3 May and lockdown-3 from 4 May to 17 May. In the first phase, there was exemption only for essential goods. In Lockdown-2, the hotspots were allowed to open shops in the Orange and Green zones. In Lockdown-3 it was permitted to open factories with certain conditions. During this period trains and buses were also run to take home the migrant laborers stranded in the country. Apart from this, 15 pairs of special trains are also running on the Rajdhani route.
