Happy Teachers Day
First of all, the DailyHawk Blogging would like to wish you a very happy teachers day. I know that each one of us knows the importance of teachers in one's life. They are considered as our second parents and are also given the same place as god's in many religions. The great Greek philosopher Aristotle has said, "Those who give good education to children are entitled to more respect than those who give them birth, because parents only give birth to children while teachers teach them the way to live". They are the one who brighten our life by lighting the bulbs of knowledge. They works to improve the character, ability and future of a person. They teach many morals from our early lives and try to make bring humanity in each one of us. The list is endless. But do we know that why do we celebrate teacher's day. So let's understand-
The Reason Behind Celebrating Teacher's Day
Teachers' Day is celebrated on the occasion of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan's birthday (September 5). He was a great teacher. Along with this, he was also the first Vice-President and second President of independent India. Born on 5 September 1888 in a Brahmin family in Tirumani village, Tamil Nadu, Radhakrishnan was awarded the Bharat Ratna in 1954. There is a story behind celebrating Teacher's Day on 5 September. It is said that Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan was once asked by his students to organize his birthday. Radhakrishnan then told him that you want to celebrate my birthday, it is a good thing, but if you celebrate this special day by honoring the contribution and dedication made by teachers in the field of education, then I will be most happy. In honor of his wish, Teachers' Day is celebrated on September 5 every year across the country.
